これは、2008年リリースのフリート・フォクシーズのデビューアルバムに収録された「White Winter Hymnal」のカバーです。この曲はクリスマスソングとして有名で、カバーのほとんどが賛美歌調のアレンジですが、私はもっとグルーヴ感のあるアレンジで、この美しいハーモニーの歌に新しいエネルギーを吹き込んでみました。
冬の情景描写から、しばしばクリスマスソングとして解釈されるこの曲ですが、実際には冬のシーズンを通して楽しめるユニークな作品。メロディが良いのはもちろんですが、歌詞がない"Ooh"だけの部分がすごく特徴的で耳に残ります。
